Robert was born in Ames, Iowa. He graduated Iowa State University with a BA in Leisure services (which is another name for Travel and Tourism). He started performing professionally at the Ingersoll Dinner Theater in Des Moines, Iowa and secured two entertainment contracts at Adventureland Amusement Park in Altoona, Iowa. He is currently working in the entertainment department at Walt Disney World. He has appeared on the Rolanda Show and has been the show choreographer for the Parliament House in Orlando for over seven years. He just recently joined the show cast of First Street Lounge in Sanford, Florida. Aside from winning Miss Gay America, he also hopes one day to be able to compete at Gay Games in Ballroom dancing.

Jake Fisher (Robert’s dance partner and best friend), Overland Park, KS Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Jake Fisher has been performing for twelve years. While working toward a degree in Psychology, Jake trained at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Ballroom and Latin partner dancing. During that time Jake received recognition for top teacher of the year. After leaving Fred Astaire, Jake traveled around the US studying Ballroom and Latin from various champions and Swing Dance from original swing dancers from the 1930’s and 40’s. A nationally recognized instructor in Ballroom and Swing Dance, Jake has performed at many exciting events such as the pre-game party for Superbowl XXXV and Hard Rock Live’s Oscar Night America! In addition to his performances, Jake has choreographed music videos for Manheim Steamroller and local productions of the musical “Swing”. Jake currently resides in Overland Park, Kansas, where he runs his own dance studio, Blue Martini Entertainment, specializing in Ballroom, Latin, and Swing dance instruction. He is also a veteran Zumba dance instructor and still compete professionally in Ballroom and Swing throughout the country.
